Boletus albisulphureus Murr. Cap 5-8cm across, convex; milk-white; smooth, soft. Tubes bright sulphur yellow. Pores sulphur yellow. Stem 50-100 x 15-25mm; white with a yellow reticulum on upper half of stem. Flesh very soft; white to pale sulphur yellow. Odor none. Taste pleasant. Spores sausage-shaped, smooth, 12 x 3.5µ. Deposit pale brown. Habitat in mixed woods. Found in Florida, Mississippi, North Carolina, and other southern and southeastern states. Season July-August. Edibility not known.
